Dr Sherly Antony, Scientist at PRC, awarded National Postdoctoral Fellowship by SERB

Dr. Sherly Antony, MD, PDCR, a scientist at Pushpagiri Research Centre, has been awarded the National Postdoctoral Fellowship from Science and Engineering Research Board (SERB), a statutory body of Department of Science and Technology (DST), Government of India, to support her research into viruses triggering wheezing in under five children.

She received her bachelor’s degree in Medicine from Pushpagiri Institute of Medical Sciences and Research Centre in 2011, with gold medal in Medicine. She passed her MD Microbiology from Pondicherry University in 2017 with distinction and has been working at Pushpagiri since then.

The SERB-National Post-Doctoral Fellowship (N-PDF) is for two years and is aimed to identify motivated young researchers and provide them support for doing research in frontier areas of science and engineering.
