Announcing Affiliation of Pushpagiri Centre for Evidence-Based Practice to Joanna Briggs Institute, University of Adelaide, Australia !!!
The Pushpagiri Institute of Medical Sciences & Research Centre under the Department of Community Medicine started Pushpagiri Centre for Evidence Based Practice (PCEBP), the first of its kind in Kerala. The official inauguration was on January 7, 2019 as the first program of the diamond jubilee celebrations. World-renowned Joanna Briggs Institute (Australia) conducted Comprehensive Systematic Review Training from January 7th to 11th. PCEBP is a member of Global Evidence Synthesis Initiative (GESI), a global network of established Evidence Synthesis Centers, American University of Beirut, Lebanon.
On March 1st 2019, we received the confirmation of PCEBP’s affiliation to Joanna Briggs Institute (JBI), University of Adelaide, Australia.
The centre plans to collaborate with researchers and practitioners in health related fields, deliver high-quality training, translate knowledge to practice, and advocate evidence informed practice and policy in health and social care. It hopes to strengthen a culture of seeking, providing and utilizing “best evidence for better health”, developing the evidence “from LMICs -appropriate for LMICs”, for best cost-effective clinical, public health and social care decision making considering patient preferences as well.
